I was born and raised in Prince George, British Columbia. I sculpt with stone and many of the local woods such as cottonwood, fir, spruce, cedar, as well as exotic woods using both human figures and wildlife for my subjects.
Faces, human and animal, young and old, have always fascinated me. There is so much in a face: the life one has led, or the possibilities of a life yet to come. I strive with each carving to capture not only the personalities but their experiences of life as well.
The greatest gift carving has given me is in some small way to inspire others to experience nature on an intimate level. I hope it touches you as it moves me. It is my addiction to create fine art from the products of our natural forests.
My work ranges from small bark carvings for gifts to larger sculpture's for private and corporate collections. My pieces can be found in gardens to galleries, from Canada to Europe and Asia.
